El Big Pollo Funk es uno de los pocos grupos representantes del Funk peruano. La banda tiene dos producciones discograficas publicadas: “El Big Pollo Funk” (2008) y “Habla!” (2012). El grupo fue fundado en el año 2006 por el guitarrista Tato Elera y el saxofonista Carlos Emilio Llerena. El nombre de la banda esta inspirado en el tema funk “The Chicken” de Pee Wee Ellis.
